Ski jumping Olympic champion Andreas Wellinger has returned to the ski jump eleven months after his cruciate ligament rupture.
“I made my first jumps. It was a hard and interesting time and I want to thank you all for your support during these difficult days,” the 24-year-old wrote on Thursday in the social networks. It feels “good to be back in business”.
Wellinger had missed the entire World Cup winter after a training injury last June. In the spring he also broke his collarbone while surfing during his Australian vacation.
