In New Orleans, Wrestlemania came to an end with the latest issue of RAW. Ronda Rousey showed no mercy while Paige said goodbye emotionally. Jeff Hardy called back and jumped in with Seth Rollins.
RAW started with McMahon in the ring, wearing her arm in a noose. She talked about the lost match against Rousey and praised the former UFC champion before calling her to the ring. McMahon admitted, “The better woman won.”
When they hugged, Rousey suddenly attacked McMahon’s uninjured arm. Triple H’s wife was escorted out of the hall under loud booing.
Since Wrestlemania Jax has a title, since RAW also a partner: NXT wrestler Ember Moon fought side by side with Jax and scored her first victory. James and Bliss are rumored to be moving to Smackdown soon anyway.
The next match, the next debut: No Way Jose landed an easy victory against a local challenger. A first foretaste for WWE fans of the Dominican Dancing Machine from NXT.
After some hard words from The Miz and Miztourage against Balor and Rollins, a brawl seemed to be coming up in the ring. Just as the three were about to attack against two superior numbers, Hardy came to the ring and joined Rollins and Balor. The Miz and his men left.
The Boss was supposed to stand against Rose, but was quickly distracted by Bayley. The Huggable One came to the ring and made sure that Rose Banks could hit unprepared. The victory went to absolution.
However, the team had to accept a severe loss afterwards: Paige confirmed after exactly four years at WWE that a neck injury prevents her from returning to the ring. She will devote herself to new tasks and leave WWE. With “This is your house”-Chants the British woman was said goodbye.
After his defeat at Wrestlemania against Brock Lesnar, Reigns spoke to the WWE universe. He was furious that Lesnar’s new WWE contract included another match against Reigns: In the Steel Cage at the Royal Rumble.
Thereupon Samoa Joe came to the ring, whose return the fans had already expected at Wrestlemania. The Samoan Submission Machine spoke of wishing Lesnar to be an opponent for Backlash – right after the Beast made short work of Reign.
After Braun Strowman and Nicholas have already taken off their belts a few hours after winning the title – Nicholas was overwhelmed with primary school and the job as WWE title holder – the new champions are determined in a tournament.
After The Revival had already won, the new duo from Hardy & Wyatt now also scored a victory. Both teams will meet at the next RAW edition.
After their defeat against Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan, Owens and Zayn have no contract. They contacted RAW and asked Kurt Angle for a free place in the roster. This one had one on offer, but only one.
Thus both friends faced each other in the ring, but could not determine a winner. After some spectacular scenes the match was dedicated as a No Contest and the space at RAW remains unoccupied for the time being.
Together with Hardy, Balor and Rollins faced Awesome One and his supporters. It came, as was to be expected, and the newly formed triple was victorious.
