Ski Alpin: Cruciate ligament rupture near Neureuther – Olympic dream come true

Germany’s star Felix Neureuther has a torn cruciate ligament in his left knee during training in the USA and has to bury his hopes for a medal at the Olympic Games in Pyeongchang. This was announced by the 33-year-old on Sunday morning on Facebook.

“That means for me that the season is over,”said a Neureuther who was visibly carried away:”I’ll fly home tomorrow and then be operated on.”

Only two weeks ago Neureuther won his 13th place in the first slalom of the season in Levi, Finland. Success in the World Cup celebrated. The World Championship third in the slalom has so far remained without precious metal at the Olympic Games.
