Cycling: Rib injury: Nibali renounces World Championship start

Vincenzo Nibali, the former Tour winner, has started at the World Championship road race in Bergen, Norway on 24th October.September canceled.The 32-year-old Italian had broken two ribs on the penultimate stage of the Vuelta on Saturday in a crash.

Nibali, who finished second in the round trip to Spain 2’15” behind the British winner Christopher Froome, is suffering from pain and breathing problems according to the “Corriere della Sera”.
