DEL: Meister München wins home bankruptcy – Quartet with a perfect start to the season

Defending champion Red Bull Munich has enormous starting problems in the new season of the German Ice Hockey League (DEL).Two days after the painstaking victory in the sudden death at the Krefeld Penguins, coach Don Jackson’s team won a bitter 4-0 (0-0,0-1,0-3) home race against their Bavarian rival ERC Ingolstadt.

In contrast to Munich, a quartet can look back on a perfect opening weekend. The Adler Mannheim, Augsburg Panther, Cologne’s Sharks and Nuremberg’s Ice Tigers celebrated their second victory within 48 hours on Sunday.

Once again, Mannheim was no exception. The ex-champion made a perfect start to the season with his 4-2 (0-1,2-0,2-1) win at the Schwenninger Wild Wings after his 6-3 win over Grizzlys Wolfsburg.

Ausgburg also had two victories after his company outing to the Rhine. After the 4:2 at the Duesseldorf EC, the Swabians won at Krefeld Penguins 7:5 (1:2,1:1,5:2).

The optimum score of six also stands for Nuremberg. The Franconians beat the still-winning Iserlohn Roosters 4-1 (1-1,2-0,1-0).

After the first weekend of the season, Cologne is also unbeaten. The Domstädter sat down after the 5:4 against the Fischtown Pinguins Bremerhaven in Wolfsburg with 4:2 (2:0,0:1,2:1).

DEG again kicked out the loophole of the home defeat against Augsburg at the Straubing Tigers. The Rhinelanders won 6-3 (1-1,4-0,1-2) and thus, unlike Wolfsburg, prevented a complete false start into the new season.

The Eisbären Berlin mastered their first hurdle on their way out of Berlin with confidence.Coach Uwe Krupp’s team won the Fischtown Pinguins Bremerhaven 7-2 (1-0,1-1,5-1,1-1) after a brilliant third and rehabilitated themselves for the 2-4 home defeat against Nuremberg’s Ice Tigers in the opening game.

In Munich, Thomas Greilinger first met Thomas Greilinger in front of 5410 spectators for the guests, who had lost 2:4 against Straubing at the start on their own ice.In the final period, Michael Collins and Brett Olson sealed the debacle for the champions of the past two seasons with a double pack.
