Before the tip-off:

No change in the Russians. The Starting Five consisted of Shved, Khvostov, Dmitry Kulagin, Vorontsevich and Mozgov. The Serbs also started with Jovic, Bogdanovic, Lucic, Bircevic and Kuzmic.

1stThe Serbs got off to a better start and scored the first five points.Russia countered about Mozgov, who quickly hung up Kuzmic two fouls.Bogdanovic found several defensive gaps and came to an untroubled conclusion several times. The other star, Shved, also had problems with his litter, but remained on the line without any faults and blame (5/5).Serbia, however, scored better throws and led with 25:20.

2ndQuarter: Initially, it remained a close match. Both teams played patiently down their systems and took throws deep in the shotclock. The Serbs were always looking for Marjanovic, who pulled several fouls. So the Serbs pulled away bit by bit and gained a two-digit lead.Russia took too many Jumpers, all of them stopped falling.Shved was also mostly deregistered in the second ten minutes and wanted to force it too much.Bricks were the result. 48:34 Serbia.

3rdThe Russians now had a better offensive rhythm, but the Serbs did not let their opponent approach.Three threesome made it possible to evaporate the residue to at least ten points. But Serbia now let it slip a little bit.Russia now hit the open throws, it was again a basketball game. But then Djordjevic brought Jovic back and so the Serbian game became more fluid. But then the shock: The new Bayern-Guard was killed and had to be taken off the court. 66:57 Serbia.

4thQuarter: Serbia was a little unsteady. The Russians shortened the game after a unsportsmanlike foul by Guduric. In Bogdanovic and Marjanovic, for example, the stars took over again – Serbia was able to breathe deeply.Shved was once again clearing up from downtown.Micic scored two points in the lead and then lost a very important threesome.Bogdanovic jumpered up to seven points 100 seconds before the end, and a short time later he let another one follow.Serbia won 87:79.

Russia vs.Serbia: The boxing score

Boban Marjanovic.Kuzmic’s early foul problems gave the Detroit Pistons Center more time to play, which he took advantage of.Under the basket he could hardly be defeated – if Russia once tried to find its way into the zone. Also in the attack, the hut was regularly searched in the post office and also met over the likewise long Mozgov. His block against the Nets Center was the highlight of the game.

Dmitry Kulagin. Was intended as a stopper for Bogdanovic, but that didn’t work at all.The former Fenerbahce-Guard shook his opponent in beautiful regularity and dominated the offense.Kulagin was also unable to contribute anything in the attack. His two jumpers in eight minutes of play just clapped on the ring.

When Shved had beaten his opponent, the Serbian help was there immediately and blocked the way to the basket.Shved had to take heavy jumpers or deliver the ball. The Russians often had free throws, which were usually only put on the ring by the role-players.The only positive exception is Andrey Vorontsevich.
