NBA: Dirk is supposed to be on Center:”What’s happening, is happening”

Dirk Nowitzki will be at the Dallas Mavericks in his 20th birthday party.NBA season may be permanently used in a different position than before.That’s what coach Rick Carlisle said on the traditional Media Day before the start of the training camp.

The German superstar should no longer run as a power forward, but as a center.

Nowitzki is not breaking new ground, the 38-year-old has often helped out in his career as a five-man:”I didn’t know before last season that I would get many minutes on position 5,”Nowitzki said.He can live with the decision of his head coach.”Hey, what’s happening is happening.I want to help the team and hopefully I’m still efficient.”

Carlisle explained:”At the moment it looks like it’s the best scenario for our team and Dirk to use him in position 5:” The 2011 champion is scheduled for the starting line-up “As long as I’m here, Dirk won’t come off the bench,”the coach explained.

This raises the question of what will become of Nerlens Noel, who signed in Dallas for another year.Noel is considered a classic defensive center and would be the one who would have to leave his place in the starting five.
