Golf: Tiger Woods nearing the end of his career?
A return of Tiger Woods is still standing in the stars and even an early end to his career doesn’t seem impossible anymore. The 14-time major winner said on the sidelines of the Presidents Cup in Jersey City that he didn’t know “what the future holds for me.”
When asked if he could imagine it without professional golf, Woods answered,”Yes, absolutely.”
The once best golfer in the world had taken part in a tournament in Dubai last February due to persistent back problems, but had already given up after one round due to too much pain.In April, Woods was operated on his back for the fourth time.
In the meantime the 41-year-old strikes balls over 60 yards.I’m trying to get as close as possible to the 100 percent,”said Woods,” but I don’t know what 100 percent of his health is.
In addition to the greens, he has recently made headlines anyway. In May, Woods was temporarily arrested after police officers found him asleep behind the wheel of his parking car near his property in Jupiter, Florida.Toxicological studies later revealed that Woods had a mix of five different drugs in his blood at the time of his arrest. At a first hearing, he had been assured by his lawyer that he had not been under the influence of alcohol or drugs. For the main hearing on 25.Mr President, on October 1, Woods must appear in person in court.
