The German runners-up SG Flensburg-Handewitt has set an exclamation point in the Champions League.The North Germans celebrated their third matchday of Group B against last year’s finalist Paris St.Germain and captain of the national team Uwe Gensheimer scored a surprising 33-29 (13-14) win and equalled the Frenchman in their second qualifying round win.

Led by their outstanding goalscorers Rasmus Lauge Schmidt (eleven goals) and Holger Glandorf (nine), Flensburg was even 9:12 behind the favourites in the first round, after the home team had already led 9:6.
