NBA: All-Star Game: No more East versus West

The All-Star Game in the NBA will be held in a new format in the future. As the league announced on Tuesday, the change will not lead to a classic duel between the Western Conference and the Eastern Conference.

Twelve players are still elected per conference, 50 percent of whom are elected by fans, 25 percent by current players and a further 25 percent by media representatives.

The two players with the most votes in their respective conference are then the captains. They may alternately choose the eight remaining starters – no matter which conference they belong to.In the previous year, for example, this would have been LeBron James and Stephen Curry.
