NBA: Wiggins: Will “sometime” extend

Andrew Wiggins of the Minnesota Timberwolves can extend his contract in the far north until the start of the season. If he doesn’t, the Canadian becomes a Restricted Free Agent in summer.Wiggins, however, sees the situation as relaxed and believes that an agreement will soon be reached.

“I’m looking at it from day to day,”said Wiggins USA Today.”There’s no hurry about the renewal. There’s still plenty of time until the first game of the season.”

No agreement has yet been reached. The Wolves offered Wiggins a max deal for five years (148 million dollars), so far the No. 1 pick of 2014 has not signed it.

This raised some question marks, even though Wiggins continued to affirm:”Minnesota is where I want to be,” but there is still no prediction as to when this will be,”said Wiggins, to reiterate:” There is no hurry.and we’re still on the road in China.”

With the arrival of Jimmy Butler, Wiggins remains an important part of the new Wolves team.Last season the Forward was 23.6 points and 4 rebounds. His 35.6 percent of downtown was also a new personal best.
