NFL: Browns: QB exchange perfect – Hogan takes over!
The Cleveland Browns complete the quarterback exchange: Rookie DeShone Kizer has to take a seat on the bench and is replaced by Kevin Hogan.
The team announced this in a statement on Wednesday.Head coach Hue Jackson explains:”I made the decision to let Kevin start this week.We like what he has been able to achieve so far in our offensive. He’s going to start on Sunday, because that’s the best decision for our team in my opinion.”
At the same time, however,”this doesn’t change how we see DeShone continue to see it.He has worked extremely hard and still has a great future ahead of him.At this moment, however, it is better for him and his development to be the backup.”
Kizer (81/159,851 YDS, 3 TD, 9 INT) showed the expected fluctuating performances over the first few weeks – however, the Browns must have expected them when they made the 21-year-old a starter prior to the season. On Sunday, Jackson pulled the ripcord in the game against the jets and gave Hogan a more stable impression. For the time being, Hogan is the 28th member of the European Parliament.Starting quarterback since the return of the franchise in 1999.
