NFL: Media: Bridgewater gets green light
Very good news for all fans of the Minnesota Vikings!Teddy Bridgewater has been reported to have received training clearance from the doctors and could therefore enter Vikes training in real time.
According to NFL insider Chris Mortensen, the doctor who operated on Bridgewater’s knee over a year ago gave him the green light for training. The 24-year-old had spent the first six weeks of the season on the PUP list and could now be activated by the team.
NFL network insider Ian Rapoport added that the Vikings want to activate it either this week or next week. The team therefore assumes that the quarterback will be used during the season.Shortly before, Bridgewater himself had further fuelled the rumours that had already emerged at the weekend – via Twitter he only posted a short comment:”Thank you”.
Bridgewater’s last match to date was in the 2015 season. He then missed the entire pre-season and the first few weeks of the current season due to his serious knee injury.
In his absence, Sam Bradford was convincing – although he is reported to have a potentially serious knee problem.Case Keenum is currently the starter in Minnesota, the Bradford and Bridgewater contracts expire after the season.
