NFL: Quarterback Rodgers operated after collarbone fracture
Star quarterback Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers from the NFL has been operated after his clavicle fracture last Sunday. This was reported by US media in the night to Friday. When the 33-year-old returns to the field is still unclear.
“My focus is on his health,”said Packers coach Mike McCarthy. Rodgers, twice the league’s most valuable player, had suffered the injury from the 10-23 defeat to Minnesota Vikings in a tough tackle from linebacker Anthony Barr. He’s on the verge of retirement for the rest of the regular season.
Without their top star, the Packers’ chances (four victories, two defeats) of winning the play-off draw have fallen significantly. In the only Thursday match, the Oakland Raiders defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 31:30 and improved their record to three wins with four defeats. For Kansas, it was the second bust in the seventh game.
