NHL: Next removal for Kühnhackl and the Penguins
Tom Kühnhackl has once again gone bad in the NHL with the Pittsburgh Penguins. At Tampa Bay Lightning the defending champion lost 1:7 on Saturday after a weak performance. Two weeks ago, Pittsburgh had won a 10-1 draw at the Chicago Blackhawks.
The Penguins were now trailing 0:7 in Florida, and Jake Guentzel only scored the goal of honour in the penultimate minute. With eleven points from nine games in the East, the champion is still fifth.
Goalkeeper Thomas Greiss and defender Dennis Seidenberg beat San Jose Sharks 5-3 in the New York Islanders. Greiss fended off 28 shots. Things went worse for his national team colleague Philipp Grubauer. The goalkeeper scored a 4-1 win against the Florida Panthers with the Washington Capitals at home. Tobias Rieder and the Arizona Coyotes lost Chicago 2-4.
Edmonton Oilers suffered their fifth defeat in the seventh game of the season without Leon Draisaitl, who was still injured. The Canadians lost 2-1 at the Philadelphia Flyers and are still trapped in the Western Conference’s table cellar. Draisaitl (21) was again absent due to an eye injury, and he also complains about symptoms of a concussion.
