NBA: Media: Mirotic could force farewell

Nikola Mirotic continues to miss the Chicago Bulls after being beaten by team-mate Bobby Portis last week. According to the Chicago Tribune, the Spaniard could force his farewell from Chicago.

Mirotic ran into Portis in practice. He broke the Spaniard’s jaw with a punch of his fist and gave him a concussion. Mirotic has not yet left the Concussion Protocol of the League, so he could not be operated yet.

Meanwhile, Portis has publicly apologized and tried to do this personally to Mirotic, but he ignored his requests. After coach Fred Hoiberg visited Mirotic on Wednesday, there is now a growing fear within the organisation that Mirotic will never want to play on the same team as Portis.

Mirotic had always insisted on staying with the Bulls. In his two-year contract (team option in year two), which he signed in the summer, he even has a no-trade clause. Apparently, however, he would have to let this pass and accept a trade if the Bulls wanted to keep Portis.

The Bulls hope that Mirotic’s mind will cool down a bit over time, so he is still very angry at the moment. Due to its new treaty, however, a trade could only be traded from the 18th century onwards. January.
