NFL: Lynch hard-core: Full contact training in high school
Marshawn Lynch is currently sitting down his one-game lockout – but doesn’t let time pass by unused. The running back of the Oakland Raiders simply trained at his old high school.
For his frenzy in the game against the Kansas City Chiefs – Lynch ran into the court after a hit against quarterback Derek Carr and pushed an umpire aside – Beast Mode was banned for a game. His objection to the suspension was rejected.
For Lynch, however, obviously no reason to sit idly around. Instead, the Running Back went to his old high school for training and trained with the teenagers.
This was by no means a simple walkthrough or a few small races. Rather, it was a full-contact training session in which Lynch gently cleared some of the youngsters out of their way, but also put in several hits himself. Lynch himself published a section of the training session on Instagram with the comment:”Just keep working, it’ll happen no matter what!
Whether the raiders knew about the action and whether they had approved the full contact training outside the team facilities is not yet known. Offensive Coordinator Todd Downing explained that he hadn’t seen the video and was concentrating on the next game:”I don’t know what it was. I know he loves football, he’s a football junkie. I wouldn’t expect anything else.”
