NFL: Bengals: Penalty for Burfict-Kick announced

Vontaze Burfict of the Cincinnati Bengals was fined for a misdemeanor in the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. For the linebacker, it’s not the first disciplinary punishment from the league.

Burfict must pay a fine of $12,154 after stepping on the helmet with Steelers-Fullback Roosevelt Nix. Games against the Steelers come at a particularly expensive price for the linebacker.

Already after the play-off meeting in the Wild Card round in 2015, Burfict was banned for three games due to unsportsmanlike behaviour and excessive hardship. The penalty came after a hit with the shoulder against defenceless Antonio Brown.
