NHL: Draisaitl and Oilers do not get going
National hockey player Leon Draisaitl and his Edmonton Oilers are not getting into action in the North American professional league NHL. The Canadians lost to Washington Capitals, where goalkeeper Philipp Grubauer did not play, despite a 2-0 lead of 2-5.
With only seven points from ten games, the Oilers are way behind expectations. Draisaitl had played the 1-0 by Patrick Maroon (13th).
Tobias Rieder and the Arizona Coyotes, who lost 3:4 at the New Jersey Devils and with only one point are the worst team in the league at the moment, are in even worse shape. Tom Kühnhackl, who lost 2-1 to Pittsburgh Penguins in Minnesota Wild with Stanley Cup winner Pittsburgh, was also defeated.
The New York Islanders, on the other hand, won with Dennis Seidenberg but without goalkeeper Thomas Greiss 6-2 against last year’s finalist Nashville Predators.
