Philadelphia Phillies will make Gabe Kapler the new manager. This is reported by mlb. com, citing internal sources. The successor of Pete Mackanin could be introduced already on Monday.

The 42-year-old Kapler, who ended his career in 2011, would have been the 54th captain of the team. Phillies manager of Phillies history and would replace Mackanin, who will take over the front office after three years at the helm.
