NFL: Media: Seahawks trade for Duane Brown
The Seattle Seahawks have addressed their problems on the offensive line. Left Tackle Duane Brown joins Pete Carroll’s team in a trade with the Houston Texans. For the deal, the Seahawks had to give up one of their best corner backs. ESPN insider Adam Schefter reports this.
In return, Jeremy Lane is moving to Houston. According to the report, a five-round pick of the 2018 drafts and a six-string pick of the 2019 drafts are also sent to the Texans.
Seahawk’s managing director John Schneider has already confirmed the deal, but has not yet been finalized. Schneider stated that the Seahawks would take over Brown’s current contract, which expires in 2018. This is worth $5 million in the current year. In 2018, it’s $9.75 million.
Throughout his career, the 32-year-old played with the Texans who had chosen him during the first round of the 2008 drafts. Brown returned from a holdout last week. In Seattle, he then went on to play 68 of the 71 offensive snaps.
