NBA: Spišer on the Bull crisis:”We’re just trotting forward.”
Paul Zipser is going through the most difficult phase of his NBA career at the Chicago Bulls. Like the whole team, he lacks the rhythm and sees a problem with the pace. He doesn’t care that he lost his place as a starter, though.
At the moment, Zipser is looking for his form – in the last two games he was standing on the floor for only 8 seconds,”I don’t have any rhythm at all at the moment – like so many in the team,”he said in an interview with DAZN.”What we need now is one or two good games in a row, then we get back on track and pull together”.
It does not matter to him what status he enjoys in the team. I don’t care if I’m a starter or from the bank, I don’t really care whether I’m a starter or not. The main thing is to contribute positive things to the game in the minutes you’re on the field.”
The Bulls have only won three games this season, partly because the team is often too slow “We have games in which we are bouncing back and running fast – then we get good results. And we have those where we just trot forward. Exactly this is not our concept. However, it’s also difficult to pick up the right tempo when you have to pull the ball out of the net.”
Due to the situation in which Spišer and the Bulls find themselves, the fact of having made it into the NBA doesn’t feel like a dream at the moment. But the sporting situation doesn’t change anything about one thing:”I love the city of Chicago. Anyone who’s ever been there in the summer knows how beautiful it is here.”
