NBA: Pop:”Never seen anything like Kawhi before”
The San Antonio Spurs are still without two stars: Kawhi Leonard and Tony Parker are suffering from injuries. Her suffering is the same and coach Gregg Popovich spoke of never having seen anything like it.
Parker had already hurt himself in the playoffs. He tore his quadriceps tendon in his left leg and has been working on his comeback ever since. He also worked hard for the G-League team San Antonios, the Austin Spurs.
Lawhi Leonard hasn’t played this season either. He also has problems with his quadriceps. Coach Popovich told ESPN:”I’ve never seen anything like this before. And the strange thing is that both players have the same injury. Parker’s was just worse.”
At least with Parker there is a comeback in sight:”He’ll be back sooner rather than later. But he didn’t want to give you a more exact date. If all goes well, the Frenchman could play at the end of the year. You don’t know what Leonard looks like.
According to ESPN, Leonard has already run 2-on-2 and 3-on-3 drills, but not in full contact. This suggests that it will take some time for him to get clearance from the doctors.
