NHL: Draisaitls Oilers finish defeat series
Leon Draisaitl finished the negative series in the NHL with his Edmonton Oilers. After three last defeats, the Canadians celebrated a 6-2 victory at the Detroit Red Wings. Draisaitl contributed an assistant.
The Oilers are the second weakest team in the West with 8:14 wins.
Only the Arizona Coyotes (5:19) are even worse. The team around Draisaitl’s national team-mate Tobias Rieder was stopped after three victories. Against the San Jose Sharks there was a 1:3 in their own hall. Striker Rieder remained without a scorer point.
The winner was the duo Thomas Greiss and Dennis Seidenberg. In 4-3 of the New York Islanders after extra time against the Philadelphia Flyers, Greiss scored 35 of the 38 shots against his goal. While goalkeeper colleague Philipp Grubauer was only allowed to watch the Ottawa Senators at the 5:2 of the Washington Capitals against the Ottawa Senators, Tom Kühnhackl lost 2:5 against the Vancouver Canucks with the Pittsburgh Penguins.
