NBA: Lillard and Nurkic ensure a close win
The Portland Trail Blazers scored a close win at the Brooklyn Nets. Damian Lillard and Jusuf Nurkic were outstanding.
This matchup sounds like a lot of points – but at first the offensive casts were limited. Both teams started rusty (it was a very early tip-off time on the day after Thanksgiving) and struggled to break the 50-point mark by halftime.
But then things went smoothly. In quarter number 3, the teams scored a total of 80 points – and it was not only fast and spectacular, but also exciting. None of the teams were able to break away, so that the crunchtime had to decide between victory and defeat.

2:20 minutes to go, the Nets were leading 121:115, but the Blazers were able to do a last effort and, thanks to an 8:0 run, they finally reached the winner’s lane. Although the Nets rebounded, a three-point game by Jusuf Nurkic was the decisive play.
Speaking of Nurkic: The center scored 29 points (12/19 FG), 15 rebounds and 4 blocks, making it an outstanding game. Damian Lillard also ran hot in the meantime and scored points from all positions (34 points, 4/6 3FG, plus 9 assists). C.J. McCollum contributed 26 points, while Spencer Dinwiddie (23 points, 6 assists) and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson (17 points) were convincing in the Nets.
