NFL: Talib and Crabtree suspended after brawl

The NFL reacted with a clear announcement to the wrangling in the game between the Denver Broncos and the Oakland Raiders: both Broncos Cornerback Aqib Talib and Raiders-Receiver Michael Crabtree were suspended for two games.

Both had been expelled in the division duel on Sunday after a desolate fight in the square of the field. On Monday evening, the League announced the suspension.

Talib and Crabtree will file an appeal against the suspension, according to information from NFL network insider Ian Rapoport. Also Raiders-Guard Gabe Jackson was thrown off the field in the course of the fight, but Jackson will not be banned afterwards.

It is the second year in a row that Talib and Crabtree clash – both times with a curious parallel: on Sunday, Talib has already torn down the gold chain that Crabtree wears around his opponent’s neck for the second time during the games.
