NHL: Draisaitl assist in Oilers victory
Leon Draisaitl was able to attract the most attention from the circle of German national ice hockey players in the NHL at the weekend. The man from Cologne prepared Canadiens in the middle third of his Edmonton Oilers’ 6:2 at the record champion Montreal Canadiens with his 13th place. Milan Lucic’s goal-scoring of the current season will be presented by Milan Lucic.
In Edmonton’s internal scorer ranking Draisaitl is now in second place with 21 points. Connor McDavid has 14 points more.
Meanwhile, Draisaitt’s national team mates remained largely inconspicuous. Tobias Rieder could not prevent his Arizona Coyotes’ 1-1 defeat at the Columbus Blue Jackets, nor could Dennis Seidenberg prevent the New York Islanders’ 3-1 defeat at the Boston Bruins.
Seidenberg’s New York goalkeeper colleague Thomas Greiss, along with Tom Kühnhackl and Frederik Tiffels, was just spectators at Pittsburgh Penguins’ 3-4 defeat at home against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
