NBA: Grizzlies: Gasol would agree to a trade

The Memphis grizzlies are in crisis. The team has disappeared into the insignificance of the West. That is why Star-Center Marc Gasol speculates about a trade.

According to ESPN insider Zach Lowe, Marc Gasol would immediately agree to a trade if the grizzlies asked for his opinion:”If the franchise thinks it would be best for them to trade me, then I wouldn’t oppose it,”the Spaniard is quoted.

His team has lost 15 of the last 16 games and is on last place at the Western Conference with an 8-20 record. Recently, head coach David Fizdale has already been dismissed, the team will be interim by J. B.. Bickerstaff trained. Gasol is said to have been involved in the change of coach, as he had thrown himself over with Fizdale.

In the summer, the franchise underwent a radical change. With the departure of Tony Allen and Zach Randolph, the Grit and Grind era is over. A new identity could not yet be integrated. It does not help that Point Guard Mike Conley is constantly injured and blocks room for change with his mega-contract (5 years / 152 million dollars).

Gasol, whose contract runs until 2020 (up to $25.5 million per year, last year as a player option), does not want to push any trade “I have a responsibility to the city. I’m not gonna give up here no matter what happens.”
