NFL: Before TD: Newton makes fun of Packers-Defense

The Carolina Panthers are still on track for playoffs, and their 31:24 win over the Green Bay Packers also puts their rivals out of reach. Christian McCaffrey brought Carolina into the lead – with the announcement of Quarterback Cam Newton.

In front of the pass six minutes before the end of the first quarter, Newton looked over at the Line of Scrimmage to the defense, grinned and said clearly:”So you were watching tape? That’s cool, look at that!”

Apparently he had seen something in the Defense formation that told him that his planned pass move would fit: Shortly afterwards, the snap was made and Newton found his running back to the short touchdown pass without any problems.

Newton ended the game with 242 passing yards and four touchdowns – McCaffrey recorded a total of six catches for 73 yards and one touchdown. The Panthers ruined the eagerly awaited comeback of Aaron Rodgers.
