NBA: League admits: Kevin Durant fouls LeBron James in Crunchtime
Kevin Durant’s unreleased foul against LeBron James in the Golden State Warriors’ victory against the Cleveland Cavaliers was a fierce one. The NBA has now admitted that this was a bad decision.
This was announced by the league in their last two-minute report. Therefore, Durant James foully foiled just under 30 seconds before the end, when it was still 95:92 for the Warriors. The arm of KD thus influenced James'”Speed, speed, balance and rhythm” by making contact with LeBron’s arm and body.
Referee Derrick Stafford had initially decided that the Cavs would remain in possession of the ball, but this was outvoted by review. However, the foul could not be replayed.
“He fouled me twice,”James got angry after the game. Also in another sequence 1:12 minutes before the end, the league admitted that Durant LeBron was foul. Instead, the ball went out. He touched me a little, but I lost the ball.”
On the other side James would have had to face a foul when he held Draymond Green on his arm and jersey 33 seconds before the end. Even that was not punished by the Referees.
