NBA: Los Angeles Lakers discuss frustrations in crisis session

The Los Angeles Lakers have recently slipped away sporty and have been annoyed about the organisation. That’s why coach Luke Walton held a meeting where players could talk about their frustrations.

Before the game against the Clippers on Friday, Walton confirmed that the meeting had taken place. One reason for this was a statement by Andrew Bogut from last week, in which he said that he “would lie if you said there was no one frustrated in this team”.

The Lakers are planning to recruit two Superstar Free Agents in the summer, but this would mean that some of the current Lakers could not stay. Walton said of the situation that it was “normal, mid-seasonal problems”:”There is frustration with every team unless you win every game. If you lose, everybody wants to play more, which should be the case.”

Regarding Randle, who started against the Clippers but had only seen Memphis for eleven minutes before, Walton said:”Julius has shown how good he can be. And I continue to believe in him and challenge him. If he doesn’t play that much, it’s because others are in a better mood. And sometimes it’s because he doesn’t reach the standard he set for himself as a player.”

The Lakers are currently on the penultimate place of the Western Conference with an 11-23 record. The last five games were all lost.
