NFL: Titans before playoff duel:”Blake Bortles will fail”
The Buffalo Bills are in the playoffs for the first time since 1999, in the wildcard round on Sunday (19.05 hrs live on DAZN) Jacksonville. The Jaguars are the favourites for the game, but Jurrell Casey, star defender of Jaguars Division rival Tennessee, gives Buffalo hope.
At 104.5 The Zone, Casey openly stated:”As long as Bortles is playing there and if he’s going to play, he’ll fail” Case then put things into perspective via Twitter and said:”I just wanted to praise our defense. If we put pressure on quarterbacks, some people will fail.”
But at the same time, the defensive Tackle, who has now played Bortles eight times and recorded five sacks, addressed the fear of the Jaguars fan camp. After a short intermezzo with three good appearances in a row, Bortles ended the season weakly and finally achieved several costly turnovers – also in the season finale against Tennessee, which the Titans won and thus entered the playoffs themselves.
“We didn’t want her offense to score any points at all,”Casey explained with a view to the 15:10 victory,”and that’s how it almost worked out in the end. AFC-south champion sounds good, but they must be able to beat us” For Tennessee, the Wildcard round is now heading for Kansas City.
Meanwhile, the statistics department of NFL. com has been able to confirm Casey’s statement with figures, at least to a certain extent: when the Jaguars lay back this season, Bortles placed 117/201 passes at 6.5 yards per pass for five touchdowns and nine interceptions. With their own guidance? 134/205.8 yards per pass, twelve touchdowns and one interception (equal stand: 64/117.6.4 YDS/ATT, 4 TD, 3 INT).
