NBA: James and Westbrook are players of the month

LeBron James and Russell Westbrook were the best players last month, and Jason Tatum and Donovan Mitchell were the best rookies at their conference.

James led his Cavaliers to a 9-5 record in December, with 27.5 points and 10.3 assists per game. In addition, he was awarded three triple doubles in a row.

Westbrook, however, has finally found its way into the track with the OKC Thunder – they won 12 of their 17 games in the last month of 2017. The current MVP achieved an average triple double with 27.8 points, 10.6 assists and 10.2 rebounds.

The best rookies of the month were Jason Tatum from Celtics and Donovan Mitchell from Jazz. Tatum played 14.6 points and 5.9 rebounds in 17 games, Mitchell scored 23.1 points and 1.7 steals in 13 games.
