NBA: 45 points!
For a long time, the Los Angeles Clippers are holding up well against the reigning champion – but then Stephen Curry has had enough. With 45 points, the Point Guard sets a season’s best score and leads the Golden State Warriors to a blowout victory. Meanwhile, the clippers have a shock moment to digest Blake Griffin.
Already after 12 minutes it was clear: This will be the evening of the Stephen Curry! Already in the first round, the 29-year-old hammered the Clippers 4 Dreier around the ears for a total of 17 points. But as good as it was for the chef himself, the rest of the Warriors had a lot of sand in their pockets in the beginning.
The clippers were able to keep up with almost the entire first half of the game, but after about 10 minutes they had to cope with a big shock moment. Blake Griffin stumbled on the basket drive while JaVale McGee accidentally hit the Clippers’ Power Forward with his elbow at the temple.
Griffin remained on the ground for several minutes dazed, but was finally able to return to the cabin under his own steam. The game was finished for him, however. Diagnosis: concussion. It was initially unclear whether Griffin would be absent from the clippers in the long term. However, the team’s already great worries about injury from the City of Angels did not diminish.

Especially the backcourt in the game against the reigning champion was quite thin from the beginning. In addition to Austin River’s second starter, Milos Teodosic, Rookie Jawun Evans (12 points, 7 assists) and Tyrone Wallace (13), a newcomer from the G-League, were temporarily completely overwhelmed by curry.
In a mere 30 minutes, he scored a new personal best value for the season with 45 points. Curry sunk a total of 8 of 16 threesomes and 11 of 21 from the field, in addition he played 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals. It was Point Guard who led the Dubs to a 23:9 run towards the end of the second and the beginning of the third quarter.
With the support of Draymond Green (9 points, 12 rebounds, 7 assists) and Nick Young (11 points), Golden State took off after the Dubs had scored just 35 percent of the field in the first half. After the break tea, however, things went much better and towards the end of the third section, the guests were even in front with 30 points. That was the end of the game.
On the side of the Clippers, Lou Williams fought most effectively against the impending defeat. He and his 23 counters had it L. A. It was thanks to their efforts that they were able to keep the game relatively even in the first half. DeAndre Jordan contributed 15 points and 11 rebounds, but the duo could not prevent the twelfth bankruptcy in series against the Warriors.
