NHL: Leon Draisaitl continues crisis with Edmonton
Leon Draisaitl is still in crisis with the Edmonton Oilers. The Canadians, who started the season as champions, won their seventh Nashville Predators defeat in the past eight games in the NHL by a 2-1 defeat. In the Western Conference, Edmonton came in third last.
Draisaitl, who played an assist on Connor McDavid’s only Oilers goal, saw progress against the weak performances before:”We played very solidly in all the rows. McDavid looked like:”It’s frustrating, but we’ll find a way to get out of it.”
Philipp Grubauer, on the other hand, hardly knows how defeats feel. The German national goalkeeper was allowed to start from the beginning in the 3-1 victory of the Washington Capitals against the Vancouver Canucks. With 37 parades, the Rosenheim native secured his team their fifth victory in a row.
