NHL: 52 Parades of Greiss: Islanders win thriller in Montreal
Thanks in part to Thomas Greiss, the New York Islanders have continued their upward trend in the NHL. The team from Brooklyn won the Montreal Canadiens 5-4 after extra time. Greiss achieved a personal best score with 52 parades.
The decisive goal was scored by Islanders captain John Tavares in the second minute of overtime. After their third consecutive win in a row, the Brooklyn team is currently in eighth place in the East with 50 points and is currently in second place on the wild card rankings.
Meanwhile, Korbinian Holzer suffered a 3-1 defeat with the Anaheim Ducks at Colorado Avalanche. The defender received almost 13 minutes of ice in his eleventh mission. The Californians are 49 points four points from the Wild Card courses in the West.
