NBA: Media: Cavs compete for Lou, DeAndre and Hill
The Cleveland Cavaliers are obviously desperately looking for reinforcements before the trade deadline. According to media reports, the cavs have targeted three players.
According to Marc Stein of the New York Times, the Cavaliers are working on deals for DeAndre Jordan and Lou Williams (both L. A.). Clippers) and George Hill, who is dissatisfied with the Sacramento Kings. They would be ready to do that, therefore, both Tristan Thompson and J. R. Smith and Iman Shumpert. Draft picks are therefore also in the room.
However, there seems to be a limit. According to David Aldridge (TNT Sports), the clippers had called for the involvement of the Brooklyn Pick of 2018 that Cleveland has had at its disposal since the Kyrie-Irving trade in initial discussions about a possible Williams trade. However, Cleveland does not want to give it away.
According to the report, the Cavaliers are planning several deals, so there is probably no work on a three-team trade. In Jordan, however, Milwaukee Bucks and Cleveland are said to have shown strong interest.
The Cavs have recently collapsed enormously and have the second worst defense of the entire league, so some of their players should have the feeling that with the current squad no new title run is possible.
