NHL: Vegas Golden Knights set NHL record
The Vegas Golden Knights are on the rise in the North American professional ice hockey league NHL and have already made history. With the 4-2 win at Calgary Flames, the Western Conference leaders set the NHL record for most victories of an expansion team in the premiere season.
The Florida Panthers and the Anaheim Ducks also had 33 victories in the 1993/94 season. With 33 main-round games still to come, however, it’s only a matter of time before Las Vegas takes the lead.
National player Tom Kühnhackl, who celebrated a 5-2 win over San Jose Sharks with defending champions Pittsburgh Penguins, was also delighted. Kühnhackl entered the scorer list with an assistant, but top players on the ice were Russian superstar Jewgeni Malkin with three goals and Goalie Matt Murray with 40 shots held.
