NBA: Media: Bucks reflect on Schröder
According to various media reports, the Milwaukee Bucks have thought of a trade for Dennis Schröder. By the trade of Eric Bledsoe from Phoenix a possible deal was history.
According to a report by Zach Lowe (ESPN), the Milwaukee Bucks spoke to the Hawks about a possible trade from Dennis Schröder to the beer town. Due to the drama in Phoenix, Eric Bledsoe was suddenly available and Milwaukee opened a trade with the Suns.
The Bucks sent Greg Monroe and a protected first round pick to Arizona for Bledsoe. Bledsoe and Schröder earn about the same amount (Schröder: 15.5 million, Bledsoe: 14.0 million). It is interesting, however, that the Hawks were willing to listen to offers for the German Point Guard.
Atlanta wants to get a high lottery pick this season, so it’s likely that the Hawks will be returning some veterans for the trade deadline. Kent Bazemore, Ersan Ilyasova and Marco Belinelli were considered possible candidates, but perhaps Schröder is also available with the right offer.
Schröder is the best offensive player of the Hawks in this season and has hitherto played 19.4 points and 6.6 assists per game. At the same time, the playmaker was more often criticized because his defense wasn’t always good and his litter from outside was quite shaky (28.4 percent threesome).
