Olympics: Youth Olympic Summer Games 2022 in Africa

The Youth Olympic Summer Games will be held in Africa in 2022. The Plenary Assembly of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) voted for this at its session in Pyeongchang.

“It’s time for Africa,”said IOC President Thomas Bach. Which African country will be hosted will be determined at the IOC session in Buenos Aires in October.

Senegal is considered the favourite. Argentina’s capital city also hosts the third Summer Youth Olympic Games in October.
