NFL: Andrew Luck does not need further shoulder surgery
Quarterback Andrew Luck from the Indianapolis Colts hasn’t thrown a football ball in three months. However, he will not need any more surgery on his shoulder, General Manager Chris Ballard said on Wednesday.
“He doesn’t need surgery. That’s what the two doctors who examined him after the season told me,”said Ballard, who added:”His strength is good. He is currently working on his throwing movement and arm speed. He hasn’t played football yet. He doesn’t miss a step in the rehab process.”
Ballard also emphasized:”He will do everything right to be ready to play again. I am very confident – he is very confident – that he will come back and punish many people with lies. I’m very proud of this guy. I wouldn’t want anyone else on our team. We want our team to reflect what he has in him.”
After the sudden cancellation of Josh McDaniels, who had already been announced as the new head coach of the Colts, new rumours about the health of the former First-Overall-Pick arose again. It was speculated that his shoulder may have been a factor in the decision of the offensive coordinator of the New England Patriots.
