NFL: Ravens and Bears contest Hall of Fame Game

The Baltimore Ravens and Chicago Bears will contest the Hall of Fame Game in preparation for the 2018 season. Both teams will play a total of five games in the preseason.

The game will take place on 2. August as part of the Hall of Fame weekend in Canton, Ohio.

The actual preseason, which includes four more matches for all teams, is expected to start a week later, but the matches are not fixed.

The Hall of Fame Game marks the end of the nearly six month long off-season. Weekend from 2-5. The newly elected Hall of Famer will be formally inducted into the Hall of Fame in August. This year they are Ray Lewis, Randy Moss, Brian Dawkins, Brian Urlacher, Terrell Owens, Bobby Beathard, Robert Brazile and Jerry Kramer.

If possible, the NFL normally selects two teams associated with one of the new Hall of Famer. So also in this case: Ray Lewis (Ravens) and Brian Urlacher (Bears) became absolute superstars in their teams.

The Hall of Fame Game was first played in 1962. Last year, the Dallas Cowboys won 20:18 against the Arizona Cardinals. However, since the game is played so early in the preparation phase, only the second suit of the squad is usually tested.
