Olympia 2018: Bode Miller harvests Shitstorm after commentary on Veith wedding

Bode Miller has picked a Shitstorm on the internet for an inappropriate commentary about Anna Veith’s marriage. The ex-racer from the USA had said on Thursday during the women’s giant slalom at the Olympics as an NBC analyst that the marriage of the Salzburg woman was also a reason for her relapse and that her husband was to blame. Miller apologized later.

Veith is triple world champion and won gold in the Super-G four years ago as Anna Fenninger in Sochi. Due to her severe knee injury in October 2015 and two knee surgeries, the Salzburg woman missed almost two complete seasons. During this break, the Austrian also married ex-Snowboarder Manuel Veith.

Last December, the two-time overall World Cup winner has already made her comeback victory in the World Cup. The self-married Miller weakened later on and explained that he knew first-hand how much support a spouse could give to a ski racer.
