Olympia 2018: Team relay: Third luge gold medal for Germany

In Pyeongchang, the German luge athletes celebrated an excellent finish with another victory in the team relay and celebrated the 1000th victory in total. Gold medal in winter game history.

Olympic gold medallist Natalie Geisenberger, Olympic gold medallist Johannes Ludwig and double-seat Olympic gold medallist Tobias Wendl and Tobias Arlt won the competition launched in 2014 at the Alpensia Sliding Centre, ahead of Canada and Austria.

The athletes of the bobsleigh and sledding federation have won six medals for Germany in four races. Geisenberger and Wendl/Arlt won gold, Dajana Eitberger silver as well as Ludwig and the double-seat world champions Toni Eggert/Sascha Benecken bronze. Four years ago in Sochi, Geisenberger, Wendl/Arlt and the Pyeongchang fifth Felix Loch also won gold in the team relay.
