NBA: All-Star Game: LeBron game winner decides intense spectacle
In an intense game with an exciting ending, Team LeBron team beat Stephen 148:145. The Cavs star’s troops were mostly trailing, but the game was still in its final stages. LeBron James was also named MVP.
Following the retirement of DeMarcus Cousins (Anthony Davis initially wore Boogies Jersey) Russell Westbrook started for Team LeBron and it developed a game that was much more handsome than last year. Defense was also played, but at first there was less spectacular action to marvel at. The Curry squad’s banker around Karl-Anthony Towns (11 points in the first quarter) then took the first two-digit lead (42:31) towards the end of the section.
So the captain had to do it himself. LeBron James sunk two threesomes in a short time in a row and also sprinkled a crashing alley oop after Kemba Walker’s pass. Team Steph had advantages because Curry had more bigs available, so more rebounds were collected.
If a Joel Embiid (19,8 Rebounds) can also split a good meter behind the three-line, you are of course happy to take this with you. Klay Thompson felt well inspired and also welded five threesomes through the Reuse until the break. Shortly before the change, the LBJ squad actually unpacked the Fullcourt Press twice and forced quick turnovers, which caused the gap to evaporate to 76:78.

After the change, coach Mike D’ Antoni mixed a little bit, captain Curry made himself comfortable on the bench and muffled popcorn. But the level remained high, Kevin Durant sprinkled a few jumpers and for Team Curry, Towns raged under the baskets. At first, DeMar DeRozan took over with a Dunk and his patented turnaround jumper.
The team of the Warriors-Guard could play a two-digit lead again, also because Damian Lillard hit several crazy jumpers. But LeBron and Co. haven’t played the game yet. A Paul George threesome and a James three-point game ensured that the Curry squad’s lead melted to a point. Then Embiid overpowered LeBron, who promptly countered downtown (144:144). After that it became curious. 1:16 minutes before the end there was actually a video review, which lasted about 3 minutes, the players had their fun, even if Team LeBron was not satisfied with the decision.
Team Stephen was unable to benefit, while on the other side PG-13 was cleared from Embiid and Kyrie Irving was unable to exploit the putback. DeRozan was fouled, but only hit a free throw. James, on the other hand, hit a heavy ledger and brought his team the lead. Cold James Harden (12 points, 5/19 FG, 8 assists) from Downtown and Russell Westbrook scored three points 10.7 seconds before the end. Afterwards LBJ and Co. and did not allow any more throwing.
James was voted MVP of the event after 29 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists. Beside him, Durant (19) and Drummond (14,7/7 FG) were convincing for his colours. Stephen Curry scored only 11 points. His team’s top scorers were DeRozan and Lillard with 21 points each. Kyle Lowry had 11 assists.

LeBron James. You could tell at the end that he wanted to win this game. In the first round he took care of the Highlight Plays, but after the change he was the role model in the defense, followed by his fellow players. His heavy leger was the game winner of the exciting final phase and he also had his hands in the game at the decisive stop with his doubles.
Most of the spectacle was presented to LeBron and Co. manufactured. LBJ himself flew through the skies a few times. What stood out was the interaction with Kemba Walker in the second quarter, when James found the Hornets-Guard in the half-field with a bounce pass and the playmaker immediately threw the Alley Oop, which LeBron refined with reverse dark and had to be careful not to collide with the ring with his head.
