Boxing: Where can I see the world championship fight between Wilder and Ortiz?
On the 4th. March (March CET) at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn Fight Night! WBC heavyweight world champion Deontay Wilder will face unbeaten rival Luis Ortiz. At SPOX you get all information about both fighters and the transmission in the live stream.
The boxing summit between Wilder and Ortiz was supposed to take place in November last year, but had to be cancelled due to a positive doping test at “The Real King Kong” Ortiz. The Cuban has already been tested positively for the second time. But this time nothing stands in the way of the WBC title fight in March.
The heavyweight bang between Wilder and Ortiz will be played during the night from 3. on the 4. March at 3 a. m. live on DAZN. DAZN shows selected boxing highlights, last year for example the fight between Floyd Mayweather Junior and Connor McGregor.

Deontay Wilder has been WBC heavyweight world champion since January 2015. Despite injury on the right hand, Wilder defeated Bermane Stiverne unanimously on points. It was the only time in his career that “The Bronze Bomber” won a fight after points – all other fights he won by knocking out.
Since then, the American has been challenged six times and was victorious every time. Eric Molina, Johann Duhaupas, Artur Szpilka, Chris Arreola, Gerald Washington and again Bermane Stiverne were his opponents. He sent everyone on the boards. Remarkable: After Stiverne lost after points in the first fight, Wilder knocked him out in the second attempt already in the first round.
Just like the defending champion, Luis Ortiz is unbeaten. Ortiz had to serve a doping ban because of unannounced medications. It is said that he had been taking the drugs for two years because of his high blood pressure – he did not know that they were included in the list of prohibited substances. After his suspension, he successfully returned against Daniel Martz.
“The Real King Kong didn’t give the American Martz a chance. He played out his dominance and controlled the fight at will. Already in round two, Ortiz won the fight through KO.
The American Wilder was already playing big in the run-up to the fight. According to many experts,”The Bronze Bomber” is a favourite in the battle, but Ortiz is still considered one of the most dangerous opponents he has faced in recent years. As a legal interpreter, the Cuban will be very unpleasant to box.
This, in turn, is unimpressed by Wilder’s announcements and says:”He talks too much. He has to prove it in the ring,” the Cuban further explains that he is not like the other boys he fought, but “a real fighter. Tough and with a lot of experience.”
