NHL: Golden Knights break Hartford Whalers NHL record
The Vegas Golden Knights broke a 38-year-old record in the North American professional ice hockey league NHL.
After the 7-3 defeat of Calgary Flames, the new team has 23 home victories. Previously, the Hartford Whalers held the record in 1979/80 with 22 successes in the premiere season.
The team from the player metropolis of Las Vegas needed only 30 games for the 23 victories, Hartford 40 for his 22nd place. In the league, the Knights are at the top with 84 points after a total of 60 of 82 games in the regular season. This is also a record for a new franchise.
The Hartford Whalers moved to Raleigh in 1997 and have been playing as Carolina Hurricanes in the NHL ever since.
