NHL: Edmonton loses despite two Draisaitl assists

Despite another strong performance by international Leon Draisaitl, the Edmonton Oilers have lost their home game against Colorado Avalanche. The man from Cologne scored 1:2 and 3:3 after extra time in 3:4 and scored his assists number 29 and 30.

Together with its twelve goals, Draisaitl now stands at 42 scorer points. However, it wasn’t enough to win, because J. T. Compher in the third minute of overtime for Colorado. The Oilers now have 48 points to fear for their play-off participation.

A solid 1-4 defeat for striker Tobias Rieder with the Arizona Coyotes against the Dallas Stars, while Arizona remains the worst team in the league with 33 points. Once again, Korbinian Holzer was not on the ice when he lost 2-1 to the Ottawa Senators after his Anaheim Ducks had been extended.
