NBA: Media: Only offers over 10 days for Derrick Rose

Derrick Rose continues to be without a contract after the Utah Jazz immediately dismissed the Point Guard after the trade with the Cleveland Cavaliers. According to media reports, the former MVP only received offers for ten days.

According to Ken Berger of Bleacher Report, some teams showed interest in Rose, but only offered the Guard contracts for 10 days. The MVP of 2011 would like to sign with a playoff team, but the right offer has been missing so far.

According to Berger, the Oklahoma City Thunder showed slight interest, but then Corey Brewer signed instead. The Washington Wizards were also traded as a possible candidate because John Wall is still absent, but the capitals did not make an offer.

Another team named the Minnesota Timberwolves with Rose’s former coach Tom Thibodeau, but according to Berger, the Wolves have not even contacted Rose’s camp. Therefore, Rose will probably have to wait until summer to get a new contract in the NBA.

The 29-year-old signed to the veteran minimum at Cleveland Cavaliers in the summer of 2017, but was never convincing at any time, not least because he sustained an ankle injury and left the team for some unknown reasons. Rose was then part of the trade that brought George Hill and Rodney Hood to Cleveland. In return, the MVP was traded from 2011 to Utah, but the franchise from Salt Lake City immediately dismissed the playmaker.
