NHL: Third victory in a row for Kühnhackl and the Penguins
National player Tom Kühnhackl, with defending champions Pittsburgh Penguins, takes on an ever-increasing amount of drive in the NHL a month before the start of the play-offs. The five-time Stanley Cup winner celebrated his third consecutive 5-2 victory at the Philadelphia Flyers and thus conquered the lead of the standings in the Metropolitan Division.
Kühnhackl came to Philadelphia in about twelve minutes of ice age, but couldn’t contribute a single point to the pens’ victory – in contrast to superstar Sidney Crosby. The 30-year-old scored three assists and thus has exactly 1100 career points on his account.
However, Crosby’s Canadian compatriot Wayne Gretzky’s record is still a long way off, with “The Great One” reaching 2857 points.
